At Galway City Physiotherapy we run a variety of “Physio Fit” exercise classes aimed at all age groups and activity levels. Our programmes are designed to cater for all fitness levels, from the inactive to the elite athlete. Our small classes offer individual supervision by a chartered physiotherapist ensuring safe exercise progression and expert care.

Our classes include Pilates based exercises, strength and conditioning, balance and postural correction. Classes run during daytime and evening hours and run for six to eight weeks. Participants are provided with exercise programmes to progress their fitness from home.

Our classes aim to:

  • Improve core stability and balance
  • Enhance posture and flexibility
  • Help with breathing control
  • Improve sports performance
  • Increase general fitness
  • Relieve back and neck pain
  • Help prevent injuries
  • Strengthen post pregnancy
  • Aid rehabilitation from injuries

A sample of Physio Fit classes currently running are “Physio Fit Pilates” and “Physio Fit Golf Classes”

Alison runs our “Physio Fit Pilates”- a low impact strength and conditioning class, with a focus on neck, back and core strengthening with elements of hip and knee strengthening. It is suitable for people with recurring neck, back or lower limb pain, office workers, post-surgery etc. Each exercise is modified and progressed to each individual to maximise your potential.
