M.I.S.C.P. BSc Physiotherapy (Hons) Degree

Matthew graduated with a BSc in Physiotherapy from the University of Limerick in 2019. He began his career in the NHS, rotating through MSK Outpatients, Orthopaedics, Neurology and Elderly Care.
He spent seven years working in London, gaining broad experience across elite sport, private practice, occupational health and medico-legal settings. During this time he worked closely with several of London’s leading orthopaedic consultants, as well as the Premier League’s Director of Sports Medicine, and was lead physiotherapist to the London senior hurlers.
Matthew specialises in lower limb injuries and return-to-performance across the athletic population — from recreational runners to competitive field-sport athletes.
In 2026, he relocated home to the West of Ireland and joined the team at Galway City Physio. Outside of work, he enjoys the gym, golf and the GAA.
