Michael is a Chartered Physiotherapist who graduated with Honours from the University of Limerick in 2013. Initially he worked in private practice and with the Galway Senior footballers for some time.  He then spent 6 years working in New Zealand and Australia where he gained extensive experience within musculoskeletal clinics. Michael worked closely with various elite sports teams over this time including the Cook Islands International Tag Rugby Team and the Auckland Rugby team. He provided physio support for a Ten day cycling tour and also had the privilege of working as a physiotherapist for the New Zealand PGA Open.

Michael has a wealth of experience, having worked in a variety of musculoskeletal and sports settings for the last 8 years all over the world including Ireland, New Zealand and Australia.

Throughout this time, Michael has continued to develop his physio skills and improve his professional development through post graduate study. In 2016 he completed a number of post-graduate courses in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy from the NZMPA. He also has completed various physio-specific courses including Dry Needling and APPI Pilates.

Michael has a keen interest in treating lower back pain, knee pain and running injuries. He utilises his sporting background to apply a multifactorial approach to treatment whereby he addresses the root cause of the injury and then uses a combination of manual therapy, biomechanical assessment and functional rehabilitation programs to achieve optimum results for his clients.

Michael has a strong sporting background having played hurling and football at various levels in his native Tipperary. He is an accomplished athlete himself and has now branched out to the world of endurance sports. He has completed numerous marathons, ultra-marathons and triathlons all over the world.
